2026 Symposium

Critical Perspectives on AI: Security, Governance, Labor and the Environment

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 28, 2026

The symposium will focus on the role and impact of artificial intelligence in four primary areas: national security, private governance, labor, and the environment. Each of these topics will be addressed from an international legal perspective. Our distinguished panelists will engage in thought-provoking discussions on: (1) AI and National Security, (2) AI and Private Governance, and (3) AI and Labor and the Environment. The program will also feature a special presentation: “The Right to Share: Data Autonomy for Algorithmic Improvement.”

Special thanks to our moderators: Lisa Titus — AI Policy Manager at Meta, Drew Concannon – Strauss Center Fellow, Lead Counsel for AI and Privacy at Ford, and Karen Engle — Minerva House Drysdale Regents Chair in Law, Founder and Co-Director of the Bernard and Audre Rapoport Center for Human Rights and Justice.

All registered attendees will receive a Zoom link on the day of the event. A single ticket provides access to attend either virtually or in person.
